Rossifumi is the first nickname stitched on the suit in MotoGP. It is a tribute to Norifumi Abe, the Japanese rider who raced as a wild card in a GP at Suzuka in 1994, competing for victory with Mick Doohan and Kevin Schwantz. With that race he had thrilled Valentino and convinced him to call himself Rossifumi
